Availability
According to Mistral AI’s official account, Apps (public preview), Managed Agents (public preview), and Workflows (generally available) are available on Mistral Cloud today, and reach private cloud and on-premises deployments at the end of November.
What’s new
- Managed agents: developers can build agents that carry out complex, multi-step tasks, equipped with skills that capture team procedures, sandboxes for running code, subagents for delegating parts of a task, and hooks for adding custom logic at key points. Studio manages the runtime, and developers can set limits on the tools, data, and actions an agent can access.
- Workflows: define which steps follow fixed rules, where an agent reasons, and when a person decides; interrupted runs can resume where they left off. Teams can describe a process in Mistral Vibe to generate, test, and deploy a workflow, with code they can inspect and edit. This release also adds event triggers from enterprise systems and a visual graph of each workflow.
- Apps: Studio provides hosting, authentication, and access controls to help internal tools meet enterprise requirements; apps can use agents and workflows and deploy with one command.
- A new Mistral MCP server (MCP is a common interface that lets AI tools connect to outside systems) lets developers build with Mistral Vibe or their existing coding agent, test locally, and deploy to Studio with one command.
- Both models and platform can run in a customer’s own cloud, VPC, or on-premises, or on Mistral-hosted deployments; OpenTelemetry traces show each step of a run, including model calls, tool use, and approvals, and evaluations test changes against a customer’s own datasets.
Mistral says customers and partners including ABANCA, Accenture, BNP Paribas, Capgemini, CMA CGM, and Tata Consultancy Services already use Studio in production. Time-saving figures in the post are Mistral’s own accounts of its internal teams’ use.
